RODNEY SMITH JR. HAS ISSUED A CHALLENGE TO KIDS WORLDWIDE

To join Rodney Smith Jr. of We Are Raising Men’s 50 Yard Challenge, kids need to cut 50 lawns FREE for the elderly, disabled, single parents, veterans, & anyone in need of help in their town. All they need to do is send in a photo holding a sign saying “I accept the 50 Yard Challenge”, and in return, We are Raising Men will send them a white Raising Men/Women shirt along with shades & ear protection to get them started. And similar to the belt system in Karate, for every 10 lawns cut, they’ll earn a new color shirt.

  • 10 lawns earns an orange shirt

  • 20 lawns earn a green shirt

  • 30 lawns earn a blue shirt

  • 40 lawns earn a red shirt

  • 50 lawns earn a black shirt

Once the kids reach 50 lawns, Rodney Smith Jr. will visit them, cut a few lawns with them, and present them with a brand new lawnmower, weed eater & blower so they can keep their work going.

The good neighbor looks beyond the external accidents and discerns those inner qualities that make all men human and, therefore, brothers.

50 State Tours

Rodney Smith Jr. visits all 50 states 2 to 3 times every year mowing the lawns of those that are affected by the cause he’s highlighting for that tour.

As new tours are planned, stop here to check out his schedule.

AUTISM

Rodney had custom autism lawn mowers made up with puzzle piece designs and put them up for auction after the tour. 100% of the proceeds will go to organizations that help kids with autism. The tour was scheduled to begin in April and will resume when safety allows.

LOCAL PD

In January 2020, Rodney donated 5 police/sheriff lawn cruisers (mowers) to PD/SO nationwide so they could use free lawn care as a way to build relationships between officers and their communities.

BREAST CANCER AWARENESS

After this tour Rodney auctioned his pink mower, trimmer, and blower for $5,000. All funds went to “My Hope Chest”, a nonprofit that funds breast reconstruction surgery for those who can’t afford it.

MILITARY VETERANS

Rodney traveled to all 50 states mowing free lawns for veterans with his custom camo mower, G.I Moe.
