Reviews have a significant effect on your local search engine optimization efforts. You may have some at the moment on your Facebook page or your Google Business listing, but you will need more and better ones to be seen by your potential customers.
Here are some tips for getting your local search engine optimization started for your lawn care business.
If you search for “lawn care Murfreesboro TN” you’ll see that the top results have the most reviews. See the picture below to see what I mean. Reviews are a significant factor in getting your lawn care company to show in these results.
Here are a few ways that you can get more reviews from your customers
Make sure that you are listed on all possible local search engines
Make sure that you are registered on all likely local search engines (Google, Yelp, Foursquare, etc.). Check your local listing using a local search engine optimization tool. It will help you make sure that you have filled out all of the listings that you could. Moz local has one that is free to check your listing (they charge you if you want them to manage the listing for you, or help you fill it out).
Start asking customers for reviews
If you use CLIPitc or CLIPxe, you can include it in your post-service notification. Ask the customer to give you a review of your service. If you are concerned that some customers may leave bad reviews, then try to offer them a solution before they submit a review. Something like this could be beneficial.
“Thanks for letting us be your lawn care provider. Our goal is that you are delighted with our work. If you are happy with our service we would be grateful if you would leave us positive feedback by clicking the following link: (provide the link to your Google Business listing)
If you can’t leave us a 4 or 5-star rating before leaving feedback, please let us address your concerns. You can reach us at xxxxxxx to let us know about your experience. Your satisfaction is important to us!”
Help customers review you
If you have older clients that might not be using technology help them set up a google account and fill out a review. It’s probably worth it to help walk them through the steps. Most local google listings only have a couple of reviews.
If they need help reviewing you on Facebook, we’ve created a handy guide that you can provide the link to.
Make your requests for reviews automatic
Include your review links in your communication with customers. If you are using CLIPitc, you can add it to your Post service notifications.
